Personal bests

When saving is on, this browser keeps your best and most recent scores, accuracy, test settings and the dates of those results. They are not uploaded or synced to an account or another device.

Compare the same text mode, duration and numbers setting. Repeat rounds count too. Your text, short rounds and scores in incoming challenge links are excluded.

The choice applies to all NimbleClack tests in this browser, including other open tabs. Removing this site’s data in your browser clears both the scores and your preference; saving returns to its default of on.

Typing and practice text

The tools calculate speed, accuracy and mistake feedback on your device. Your keystrokes, typed text and mistake history are not uploaded or included in saved personal bests.

Custom practice text stays in the page and clears when you reload it. Round feedback resets when you start another round or reload. Avoid entering sensitive information.

Sharing results and challenges

Result cards and copied messages contain your scores and test settings, without your practice text or mistake history. Nothing is posted automatically. You choose whether to copy, download or share a result.

A friend challenge link contains the settings and a seed that recreates the generated text. It can also contain your self-reported score and accuracy. These details are visible to anyone with the link. Custom practice text cannot be used for a friend challenge.

Challenge details appear after the # in the link and are not sent to our hosting service when the page is requested. If you use your device’s share menu, the service you choose handles what you share under its own privacy practices.

Browser storage and site visits

The site does not use analytics, advertising trackers, accounts or cookies. Personal bests and the saving preference use local browser storage.

Your browser still requests pages and assets from our hosting service. Those requests include network information such as your IP address and the page requested. The hosting provider may keep routine access or security logs.

If browser storage is blocked, the typing tools still work. Personal bests and changes to the saving preference may not be saved.
